Robert P. Pinataro Joins Open
Solutions
to Head Corporate Financial
Solutions Group
--Pinataro’s experience

GLASTONBURY,
Conn., Oct. 12, 2006 – Open Solutions Inc.® (NASDAQ:
OPEN), a provider of integrated enterprise-wide data processing and
enabling technologies for financial services providers across the United
States, Canada and other international markets, announced the appointment
of Robert P. Pinataro as Open Solutions’ vice president and general
manager, Corporate Financial Solutions Group (CFS). Pinataro is
responsible for overseeing the growth and development of Open
Solutions’ Corporate Financial Solutions business, which provides
outsourced processing services for Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), Asset
Retention Services (ARS), Broker Dealer Banking Services (BDBS) and
Corporate Money Management Account Services (CMMAS). Pinataro reports to
Dave Krystowiak, Open Solutions’ executive vice president, Group
Operations.

Pinataro joins Open Solutions from Automatic Data Processing,
Inc. (ADP), where he was a vice president and general manager since 2003.
Most recently, he led ADP COBRA/Flexible Spending Account Services with
responsibility for a 700-person global team. In 2003, he led a 150-person
team at ADP Health and Welfare Services. Prior to ADP, Pinataro served
General Electric Global eXchange Services (GXS) from 1998 to 2003, where
he began as a Six Sigma Black Belt and held various roles including strategy
development, business start up, P&L leadership, global sales force
operations and the spin off of GXS from GE. Prior to GE, Pinataro
served as a U.S. Naval Officer where he led operations of shipboard
nuclear power plants.
Pinataro
holds a M.B.A. from the University
of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, a M.Sc. from the
University of Portsmouth, England, a B.S. from the U.S. Naval Academy and
a G.E. Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
