CMC Engine

Channel Management Center Applications and Services

The CMC Engine is a collection of Windows Services running Dynamic Library Link (DLL) files that provide the runtime services of the Center. The Engine operates in a very flexible and scalable environment enabling multiple server configurations, while a modular architecture permits rapid expansion. Using Communicators to receive and send the raw messages to the external systems and internally redefining the messages as XML documents through the use of Adaptors and Transformers, the CMC Engine seamlessly integrates multiple systems.

Within the Engine, decision components determine the path of message requests along a logic tree structure and define the action that must be taken.

BENEFITS

  • High scalability and maximum flexibility – from a single server implementation to a large server farm environment
  • Advanced technologies and operating environments: C# (C Sharp), .NET, XML, XML/http, Xpath, XLST, SOAP, MSMQ 3.0, IIS 6.0, SQL Server 2000

FEATURES AND FUNCTIONALITY

  • User-defined Interface Plans designate the Source and Target of CMC messages and set Decision Nodes along a “logic tree" hierarchy
  • Asynchronous processing improves performance
  • Load balancing and external routing capabilities
  • Remote Procedure Calls using .NET Remoting and Web Services
  • Tunable logging support
